the next thing happening in weave land is the annual xmas party at the kings arms in bedford. this year it is taking place on the 23rd dec. as long as we get a rehearsal in we should be playing. also playing as ever are skipsy, if you don't know already tom is now playing guitar for skipsy for a while so he will be there whatever happens. as all weavers know this is the only gig of the year when weave play intoxicated, so anything can happen...
here's a quick bit of useless information...toms old band was called room 21. this name came about after tom had his appendix out and was laid up in hospital in (you've guessed it) room 21. tom has just had his tonsils out and to his great pleasure he ended up back in room 21...of course the only person remotely interested in this crap is tom...bless...

thanks to everyone who came along to esquires on saturday night (14th november)...I think that everyone will be in agreement that it was a cracking evenings entertainment...weave were definitely on top form and well up for a good time, consequently the set was a tight as a gnats chuff and full of energy...(what was going on with toms verbal diarea though!?!)...
ten benson were also cool...all together now..."heat"..."fire"..."heat"..."fire"...etc, etc...
but the highlight of our evening was the superb samurai seven, great band, great music, excellent racket & very nice suits! an excellent bunch of blokes too, so rare these days! cheers guys...
things are going to be a bit quiet in weave land now till after xmas due to work type things and tom having his tonsils out on the 1st december...however if you are desparate to see one of us perform then you're in luck as andy is acting in a production of 'the dumb waiter' by harold pinter at the gordon arms performance space, castle road, bedford on wednesday 18th november and thursday 19th november. tickets are available on the door.
...you can also find carl any friday or saturday night pissed in a shopping trolley somewhere down bedford high street!

big thanks to the beds on sunday last weekend for printing a superb article on the world wide weave website...obviously the main thing you want to get exposure for in a band is the music and the live show, but it was really nice to see all the time and effort that has gone into this site recognised and appreciated...this web site has now become very much a part of the band and in many ways is just another part of the creative process...thanks again BoS...
we have one big gig coming up next weekend at esquires, supporting ten benson, details can be found on the gigs page...

we're really looking forward to the gig at esquires this thursday 22nd october, the main reason being we have a bloody great new song to show off. tickets for said gig are now available either by giving us a shout here at world wide weave hq or just buying one on the night. ticket price is £3 and doors open at 8pm. weave are headlining but also playing are hautboy featuring tony and joe from toms old band room21, should be a good night...
details as ever are on the gigs page...
the lyrics to our new song (and all our songs) can be found on our songs page...

toms birthday bash will take place on 3rd october at the kings arms in bedford...it's a joint party with matt from skipsy...everyone is invited for much drinking and entertainment from all sorts of bands and musicians who we know...

here's the latest on the peterborough beer festival gig...weave should be on stage at about 7.30pm, this is a little earlier than we had hoped but the upside of this is that we have a 60 to 70 minute set...
andy is almost a daddy...any day now...best wishes and good luck from the weave camp!
are weave set to become a four piece??? more news on this as things pan out...or not...
weave will be returning to our regular fortnightly slot at the kings arms on thursday evenings from about 8.30pm onwards, starting this thursday (22nd july)...it is possible that this may turn into a weekly slot, if this is confirmed you'll here it first here...

a big cheers goes out to mark in peterborough for getting us a gig at the peterborough beer festival on the evening of thursday 27th august...this looks to be a biggy...weave should be doing their thing in front of hundreds if not thousands of people at said event, which is the biggest beer festival in europe...
more details to follow as we get em...

many congratulations are in order for the honourable weave rhythm keeper, andy, who we have recently discovered is to be a dad... good to see his sperm is as good as his sticks!!! best wishes to emma and andy from all at the world wide weave hq
the current offspring situation coupled with work commitments have left the whole band with not much spare time of late, which is why weave have been a bit quiet...but we shall be back with bells on soon (before tom goes insane through weave deprivation)
thanks to all who have been coming down to the kings arms every other thursday, this is now on hold until after ENGLAND win the world cup...keep you posted on that...
we recently did a gig at the luton university student union... not much noise was made about this gig as we couldn't get any one in to it really, due to the fact it was students only and we only know one student at luton (hi liz!)...but luckily it was a success and we have been asked back to play at the freshers ball...big thanks to clive on this one...
that's all for now...

long time no news! we're starting up our open rehearsals again as from this thursday (16th april) at the kings arms in bedford, then every other thursday afterwards hopefully (tbc) ...everyone is welcome... should be much more like a gig than a rehearsal (especially this first one!), so we'll start at about 9pm and play the whole damn set! see you there...
we have a new song to show off, keep an eye on the songs page for the lyrics over the next few days...

weave would like to announce a special offer for a limited period only. if anybody would like the eat me alive EP on CD now's the time to shout. the price will be £6 which we realise is a bit steep but this includes the time in the studio to actually burn the CDRs. if you would like a copy (or copies) then e-mail us as soon as possible.
still no gigs until the end of february but we have been busy doing new stuff. check out our new songs here
